In present times, the city is the richest in all of Ankhamon, with ships from distant lands braving the seas to conduct trade in the city, bringing with them foreign wealth in exchange for priceless Yuan-Ti artefacts found in the desert sands. This would create a sanctuary for fellow survivors of the Fall and together, Ankharon was founded. Legend speaks of how the founders of House Haron escape the Fall of the Yuan-Ti Empire and laid the foundations of the Great Ziggurat by hand. The Great Ziggurat is home to the House Haron, the rulers of Ankharon and their servants. The city in all its splendour is punctuated by the majestic Great Ziggurat towering above its gilded streets.
